Google Business Profile management.

The map listing is the first thing most people see and the last thing most businesses touch. I keep it current with Google Business Profile management: photos, posts, hours, the questions people ask, the reviews you ask for.

Claimed and verified

One owner, one login, the right hours, your photos, verified. Category changes only on your yes. Foundations.

A posting rhythm

Scheduled a month at a time inside the profile. No tool, no cost. Written so Google's AI answers can quote it. Interest.

Reviews answered

Someone on your side replies to every review. Interest.

The review ask

Job done, a text goes out with your review link. Interest, under Then it runs.

Why it matters now

Since the March 2026 update, a profile nobody touches slides out of the map pack. In my audits of 54 Melbourne businesses, 14 of the 16 I could check were queueing nothing at all, and four of those had more than 170 reviews. The work is not hard. It is the job that loses to a busy week, every week.

From my posts: Your Google Business Profile is penalising inactivity and Post scheduling for Melbourne firms.

What I find in audits

I have audited 54 Melbourne businesses. Most profiles are claimed and then left alone.

4 of 54had a booking button on their profile.

Everyone else sent people off Google to book, or to call.

0 of 54had an Apple Business listing.

It is free, and it is what Siri and Apple Maps read when someone nearby asks for you.

Old details

Aroma Avenue was still listed under its old name, with a wrong website and wrong Sunday hours. I put one correct name, address and phone on Yellow Pages, Yelp, Apple Business Connect and the rest.

My weekly routine

Fifteen minutes every Monday. Five minutes on reviews, five on one photo and one short post, five on questions people asked. Each post names the suburb, the service and the timeframe. Once a month I queue four posts in one sitting.

I change a main category only on your yes. A category change can send the profile back for verification and drop it from Maps for a while, so I time it with you.

DoWell Cleaning, Essendon: 4.9 stars from 53 reviews in August 2026, fourth in its own suburb's map pack.

Questions I get asked

Does posting on the profile do anything?

Yes. An inactive profile drops. I set the rhythm and schedule the posts as part of Interest.

Can you get my bad review removed?

No. I do not remove reviews. I help you get more good ones, and reply well to the rest.

Do I need a scheduling tool?

No. Scheduling is built into the profile dashboard and it is free.

What does Google Business Profile optimisation cover?

Photos, posts, hours, questions and reviews, kept current, plus the business details that must match your website.

Do you need access to my profile?

Yes, as a manager. You stay the owner, and you can remove my access at any time.
