Melbourne's north.

I am based in Coburg and work with firms across Melbourne. The suburbs near home get their own pages, because the local knowledge is first-hand: Coburg, Brunswick, Preston, Northcote, Thornbury, Pascoe Vale and nearby.

Do you work in my part of Melbourne?

I'm based in Coburg and work with firms across Melbourne. Close to home I know the local market first-hand: Coburg, Brunswick, Preston, Northcote, Thornbury, Pascoe Vale and nearby.

What I see close to home

44/100Coburg

More than 26,000 people live here. A Coburg medical centre I audited scored 44 out of 100, despite 68 reviews at 4.2 stars.

44 vs 920Brunswick

Nearly 25,000 people. A medical group I audited had a broken link on every page and a Google profile with 2 photos and 44 reviews. A competitor down the road had 920.

37.8 to 4.0My own page

"SEO Coburg" took my page from position 37.8 to 4.0 in five weeks in mid 2026. "SEO agency Coburg" sat at 1 on 18 September.

I also work across the north-west. DoWell Cleaning in Essendon cleans in 15 suburbs, including Pascoe Vale, Brunswick and Northcote. I rebuilt its site and added three suburbs it was missing. Coburg North, Fawkner and the rest of the north are close by too.

The suburbs I work in, one by one

About 220,000 people live in these 11 suburbs. Each one has its own mix of shops, clinics and offices, and its own names at the top of Google Maps.

Coburg and Coburg North, 3058

Home base. Sydney Road runs through the middle, with shops, clinics and small offices side by side. Owners here search by suburb: in the last 16 months my own Search Console shows Google listed my site 1,293 times for "seo coburg". A page that names the suburb and the service gets seen. More on the SEO Coburg page.

Brunswick, Brunswick East and Brunswick West, 3056, 3057 and 3055

The closest of my suburbs to the city, about 5 km out, with close to 53,000 people across the three postcodes. Sydney Road and Lygon Street are packed with small firms, so the map results are crowded. The medical group I audited had 44 reviews; a rival down the road had 920. More on the SEO Brunswick page.

Preston, Northcote and Thornbury, 3072, 3070 and 3071

East of Coburg, across Merri Creek. Preston is the biggest suburb on this list, with 33,790 people, and the three together hold about 78,000. High Street runs through all three. Searches like "seo thornbury" already show up in my own Search Console, so owners here look locally too.

Pascoe Vale and Fawkner, 3044 and 3060

West and north of Coburg. DoWell Cleaning works in Pascoe Vale, and "fawkner seo" is another search that shows up in my own data.

Essendon, 3040

Home of DoWell Cleaning, one of my clients. Its team cleans homes and offices in 15 suburbs across the north-west. I rebuilt the site, took the owner's home address off it, and added three suburbs that were missing.

What I check first, in any suburb

  1. Who shows up on Google Maps for your service plus your suburb name.
  2. Whether your Google profile, your site and your listings all show the same name, phone and suburb.
  3. Whether your site has a page that names the suburb and the work you do there.

The free snapshot starts with the first one: who ranks near you for the work you sell. It arrives by email within two business days.

Questions I get asked

Do you only work in Melbourne's north?

No. Coburg is home, and I work with firms across Melbourne. I also have clients in Sydney, and I send free snapshots Australia-wide.

Will you build a page for my suburb?

If your clients come from there, yes. A page that names the suburb and the work you do there is one of the first things I check, because that is what people type.

How much does local SEO cost?

Foundations is $1,500 plus GST, one-off. It fixes what you already have so Google reads you correctly. Everything after that is priced once Foundations is done.
